NACE SP0169-2007 (formerly RP0169) "Control of External Corrosion on Underground or Submerged Metallic Piping Systems", defines cathodic protection criteria and establishes other standards for controlling external corrosion that are used on pipelines around the world. NACE task group TG 360 is charged with the revision to SP0169 and distributed a draft for ballot that closed September 1st. The committee is scheduled to meet at NACE Corrosion Technology Week Tuesday (today) from 9AM to 5PM to review the results of the ballot. See the meeting agenda here.
